Programmer/Analyst

Solid is looking for an individual to join our development team in successfully designing, developing and testing Solid software systems. This position will contribute to the automated functionality of Solid's business systems, while also assisting the Solid team with new product development. Qualified individuals should have experience following product development processes and coding standards. The successful candidate should also be comfortable setting regular business goals and work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver software enhancements and new releases.

Job Description

As an integral part of our development team, the Programmer/Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development of large route accounting business systems. These systems span mobile computers (both Palm OS and Windows Mobile), communications (via Internet, network, cellular, and local), and desktop computers (running Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7), using a wide variety of programming languages (SQL, .NET, Javascript, C++, and Foxpro), databases (Microsoft SQL, .DBF), and reporting systems (Crystal Reports, SQL, procedural).

Knowledge, Abilities and Experience

As the successful candidate, you possess the following characteristics:

3+ years of progressive business systems development including experience with
.NET, Javascript, Visual FoxPro, Satellite Forms MobileApp Designer or equivalent, SQL Server, .NET, ASP, HTML, JAVA, XML,C#/C++/C, GUI and browser based design
Experience in OO Design/Development, with strong working knowledge of distributed
systems, n-tier architecture, and application servers
Experience developing both Intranet and Internet browser based applications
Wireless mobile Palm OS and Windows Mobile platform design and implementation
a plus
Experience using Microsoft Office and Windows XP/2000/2003/Vista/7

Ability to adapt to change in priorities and simultaneously work on several
projects with ranging timelines
Familiar with full life cycle software development
A demonstrated record of designing and implementing business systems software
and delivery to market
Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
Significant experience in supporting client projects within a business operations environment
Candidate must be a Microsoft Certified Professional, or, obtain this designation within a reasonable time upon being hired
