Technical Support Representative (Business System Advisor)

Solid is looking for an individual to join our Client Services team in effectively working with clients to answer support calls of a complex nature regarding the function and use of Solid's business systems. This position will work closely with the Solid team to deliver superior technical support, while also critically evaluating our product releases. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Qualified individuals will also have a practical understanding of business systems and accounting.
Job Description
As an integral part of our Client Services team, the Technical Support Representative is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues via the phone and computer. The successful candidate will:
- Coach clients through the proper use of Solid's business systems; this includes being in a sales support role
- Provide technical support for our business systems via internet, email, and telephone to both new and existing clients
- Test new program releases and troubleshooting
- Assist with technical writing in the form of user manuals, knowledgebase articles and information bulletins
- Display a steady growth in knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility
- Provide meaningful insight to software enhancements
Knowledge, Abilities and Experience
As the successful candidate, you possess the following characteristics:
- Experience with Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista/7, Microsoft Office and the Internet
- Experience with command prompt interface would be an asset
- A practical understanding of business systems is of great interest
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone or e-mail
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and in a team environment
- Candidates should possess significant experience in Help Desk support within a business operations environment
- Candidate must be a Microsoft Certified Professional, or, obtain this designation within a reasonable time upon being hired
