Corporate History

It all started with a passion for finding solutions. In 1986, Craig Fisher, CEO of Solid Innovation, Inc., established Dacobusy Software Systems in Prince Albert, SK, Canada. Coming from a strong business system engineering background in banking, Fisher believed there was a need to develop software for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Always the visionary, Fisher set out to develop the company's first product, a robust accounting software.  Marketed in 1987 as General Manager, small business owners immediately embraced this accounting software as an easy-to-use, yet powerful, point-of-sale oriented, transaction management, accounting solution.

In the wake of General Manager's success, a wholesale distribution company entered the picture. As a distributor of grocery items, they needed a mobile sales system to make their business more efficient. By listening to their needs, Fisher and his growing staff of programmers created the first version of the Si Sales Pro, the mobile sales program in the Si product suite. It was released in 1991.

Si Sales Pro was the industry's first fully integrated route accounting system. It seamlessly connected mobile invoicing and inventory control with its own, integrated back-office accounting system. In short, it was a revolution in the distribution industry.

As the demand for mobile sales systems grew, and as Solid Innovation gained recognition among its clients, the opportunities became apparent. In 1995, version 2 of Si Sales Pro was released, the first Canadian route accounting system to run on the Symbol 4600. The most recent release of Si Mobile Sales has revolutionized the industry even further with the addition of new features and improvements in equipment.
