Have you ever experienced this situation: you arrive at a customer site, you take you handheld and it has gone into sleep mode – its winter and you are wearing gloves – you are struggling to wake up the handheld by trying to press the tiny power button?

Well there is a solution: in order to save time and instead of trying to find the power button to wake your handheld device, you can configure your handheld to be woken up using one of the trigger buttons, here is how it is done:

If you have a Janam XP30 you can change the wake up configuration by:

1. Click on the House button
2. Click on the Prefs icon
3. For the Wakeup parameter select Trigger
4. Click on the House button

If you have a Janam XM66 you can change the wake up configuration by:

1. Click on the Start | Settings
2. Select the System tab
3. Click on the XM66 Panel
4. Select the Trigger option in the Wake Up box
5. Clcik OK      

If you have a Symbol 1800 you can change the wake up configuration by:

1. Click on the House button
2. Click on the Prefs icon
3. Select the Trigger Wakeup checkbox
4. Click on the House button
