New Standard Features
Windows Mobile Support: Solid Sales Pro™ is now available for Windows Mobile handheld devices. This is in addition to PalmOS devices and you can mix and match devices within the Solid Route Accounting™ system. Configuration and preparation of the Mobile Units under the Solid Business Central™ [Datafile / Cost Centre / Mobile] menu path remains unchanged. Detailed procedures for Windows Mobile Setup and Installation can be found on the Solid KnowHow™ knowledge base. NOTE: Windows Mobile devices require that Windows ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center be installed on the computer running Solid MultiConnect™.
Signature Printing in Solid Sales Pro™ (WM Only): Signature printing is now supported in Solid Sales Pro™ Windows Mobile Edition printing to the Datamax/O'Neil 4t or Datamax/O'Neil Apex4 thermal printers. A new "Print Signature" option has been added to [Datafile / Cost Centre / Mobile] screen of Solid Business Central™ allowing you to set this for each mobile unit record.
Datamax/O'Neil Apex4 Printer Support (WM Only): Solid Sales Pro™ now support printing to the Datamax/O'Neil Apex4 thermal printer.
Opticon Barcode Scanner Extension: A new Opticon Barcode Scanner extension for Windows Mobile has been added to ensure that scanning is only applicable to specific fields. This change offers more control and efficiencies to the Solid Sales Pro™ scanning functionality, that the native Opticon scanner driver was not able to provide.
Disable Low Gross Calculations: A new "Disable Low Gross Calculation" option has been added to the [Datafile / Department / View] screen. When this option is set to 'Y' the program will not apply the low gross calculation to any inventory item that belongs to that Department record enabling you to sell below cost.
Barcode Scanner Reset: A Barcode Scanner Reset option has been added to the Solid Sales Pro™ [Properties / Scanning] 4500-Scanning Options screen to handle cases when the barcode scanner becomes incorrectly disabled.
Report Enhancements for Multiple Taxes: A new Tax Summary section has been added to the daily Cash Out report and the Bill Analysis report for reporting on Multiple Taxes.
Notice of Discontinued Features
Linked Parts: Support for Linked Parts has been removed from Solid Sales Pro™ due to resource limitations on mobile systems, which are out of Solid's control. Linked Parts will continue to be a supported feature in Solid Business Central™, just not extended to Solid Sales Pro™ operations.
