Release Notes & Installation Instructions for Solid Route Accounting™ - Enterprise Edition 11.01.08

New Standard Features:

General Ledger Enhancements:

  • Printer Configuration - improved the printer configuration in the General Ledger of Solid Business Central™.
  • Windows Printing - provided a way to assign and print to any Windows printer.

Report Enhancements for Multiple Taxes: Support for multiple taxes was added on the I2 report.

Multiple Taxes for Parts Management: Support for multiple taxes was added to Parts Management.

Improved Shortcuts: Shop Diary is now available on CTRL+F1 in addition to ALT+F1.

Program Issues Corrected:

Solid Business Central™

  1. The issue of the "access denied" error during the re-indexing and upgrading.
  2. The issue in BCPrint where workstations would see the server’s printer list instead of the printers connected to the workstation.

Solid Sales Pro™

  1. Issue where changes to the barcode scanner and printer settings would affect each other on the 4400 Printing and 4500 Scanning Options screens.
  2. Improved start-up time of Solid Sales Pro™.
  3. Issue where item data on transactions came in partially corrupt.

Solid MultiConnect™

  1. Issue of "ERROR#52 No table is open in the current work area. Method:itmupd Line:178 Called From:TNSSAV".
  2. Issue of "Error file ...\mob\002\in\.dbf does not exist".
  3. Issue of "ERROR#1705 File access is denied c:\gmdata\10\fp-gmfull\mob\002\in\5t0pinqf.dbf. Method:itmupd Line:182 Called From:TNSSAV".

Backup Before you Begin!

It is sound business and computing practice to perform a FULL backup prior to beginning any installation or upgrade procedure.

  1. Exit from the Solid Business Central™ and Solid MultiConnect™ programs from all workstations.
  2. At the Server, enter the Solid Business Central program and select menu path [System / Backup / Full] and proceed with the on screen instructions.

Installation Procedures

Solid Route Accounting - Enterprise Edition 11.01.08 is available for downloading from the Solid Innovation website. A DSL or Cable high speed Internet connection is recommended for downloading. If you do not have an Internet connection or are using a Dialup Internet service, please contact Solid Client Services for assistance.

  1. Synchronize all mobile units to ensure that all transaction information has been submitted to the Solid Route Accounting™ system.
  2. Exit from Solid Business Central and Solid MultiConnect at all workstations.
  3. Click here to get to Solid Route Accounting - Enterprise Edition version 11 download page. Click on the [Download] button. Select [Save] and store the installer to a hard drive location on your computer (e.g. C:\Si\). Locate and double-click on the SolidRouteAccounting11-EE-110108.exe file to begin the installation wizard.
  4. Follow the prompts on the screen clicking the [Next] button to continue.
  5. When presented with the program license agreement, read through it and if you agree to the terms, click on [I Agree] then click [Next] to continue.
  6. When presented with the 'Select Installation Folder', enter the appropriate drive and folder location to install the program to (default C:\Si). Click on the [Browse...] button if it is necessary to change the installation folder then click on [Next] to continue.
  7. Click on [Next] to confirm and begin the installation process.
  8. Once all updated program files have been installed, you will be prompted to enter your software product key. Enter your software product key as supplied with your original purchase, then click on [Next].
  9. NOTE: if you are upgrading from Solid Route Accounting 9, the system should recall your software product key. If you are upgrading from Solid Route Accounting 2007 or earlier, please contact the Solid Client Services team for assistance.

  10. Once activation has completed and the “Done” message displays, click on [Close].
  11. When the installation is complete, the ‘Installation Complete’ window should pop up. Here you should click [Close].
  12. Start Solid Route Accounting (i.e. Solid Business Central). This will finalize the installation and run the upgrade procedures. If the system automatically prompts you with 'System / Upgrade must run now! Okay (Y/N)?' Press 'Y' to continue.
    1. Select 'Inventory' and answer 'Y' to continue.
    2. Select 'Customer' and answer 'Y' to continue.
    3. Select 'Supplier' and answer 'Y' to continue.
    4. Select 'System' and answer 'Y' to continue.
    5. Select 'Bill & Order' and answer 'Y' to continue.
    6. NOTE: This can be a lengthy upgrade procedure and should NOT be interrupted. When completed, the program will return to the 'Upgrade' options.

    7. Once all upgrade steps have been successfully completed, press [Escape] to return to the Solid Business Central program.
  13. NOTE: If you are not automatically prompted to run the [System / Upgrade] procedures, then upgrades to your database files are NOT required. However, you may optionally run these procedures if so desired.

  14. Exit from Solid Route Accounting™ (i.e. Solid Business Central).
  15. Start Solid MultiConnect™ and allow the secondary installation procedures to complete.
  16. Once the Solid MultiConnect™ connections screen has appeared sync all mobile handheld computers to upgrade Solid Sales Pro™.
