Solid Route Accounting Hardware Specifications/Recommendations

Server/Administrative System:

  • Intel® Pentium® or AMD® 500 MHz processor or better.
  • Microsoft Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 2, Windows Server® 2003/8 with all recommended updates, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows 7.
    • NOTE for Solid Route Accounting - Enterprise Edition users:
      Windows XP and Windows Vista computers must use a 32-bit Operating System (OS). Windows 7 users can use a 32-bit OS, or a 64-bit OS on a computer that can support Windows XP Mode. For further information on Windows XP Mode, please read Article#182: Windows XP Mode Guide for Installing Enterprise Edition on Windows 7 64-bit Operating Systems (OS).
    • NOTE: For larger LANs with 4 or more workstations stations and larger amounts of history, we recommend Microsoft Windows Terminal Server edition.  When used, ensure each workstation accesses the server via the Terminal Services system.
  • 512 Mb of RAM or higher.  Depending on number of users and workstations, more RAM can be helpful.
  • At least 2GB of available hard-disk space.
  • 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor.
  • Wifi Router with port forwarding capabilities for external Wifi connections.  Local USB and COM communications are also supported.
  • UPS battery backup.
  • Some features may require Microsoft Active Sync 4.1 (XP), Microsoft Mobile Device Center (Vista), Palm Desktop 4.1
