New Standard Features:
Windows Mobile Support: Solid Sales Pro is now available for Windows Mobile handheld devices. This is in addition to PalmOS devices and you can mix and match devices within the Solid Route Accounting system. Configuration and preparation of the Mobile Units under the Solid Mobile Central [Mobile] menu path remains unchanged. Detailed procedures for Windows Mobile Setup and Installation can be found on the Solid KnowHow™ knowledge base. NOTE: Windows Mobile devices require that Windows ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center be installed on the computer running Solid MultiConnect.
Signature Printing in Solid Sales Pro (WM Only): Signature printing is now supported in Solid Sales Pro Windows Mobile Edition printing to the Datamax/O’Neil 4t thermal printers. A new "Print Signature" option has been added to [Mobile / Configuration] screen of Solid Mobile Central allowing you to set this for each mobile unit record.
Signature Review & Reprint: The Solid Mobile Central [Sales / Reprint] option has been added to allow you to view transactions along with the related signature. You also have the ability to reprint sales transactions. Signatures will also print provided the Windows printer you use supports graphics printing. For the most part this will include most laser and inkjet printers.
Customer Jobs: Customer Jobs are now being imported from QuickBooks into Solid Route Accounting as “Branch” customers of the main or “Head Office” customer record. These customer records will then display on the mobile Solid Sales Pro handheld program for selection and sales/order creation. To enable Customer Jobs:
- Start Solid Mobile Central
- Select menu path [Company / Configuration]
- Click on the [Fusion] tab
- Check off the “Enable Customer Job Support” option and click on [Apply]
- Start Solid Fusion and click on [Run] to perform a full data exchange with your QuickBooks company file.
- Start Solid MultiConnect and sync all mobile handheld devices.
Optional Printing: A new mobile configuration option “Offer to Print after Saving?” has been added to the [Mobile / Configuration] screen of Solid Mobile Central. This option is checked by default. If un-checked, the program will not prompt to print after saving. NOTE: Re-printing from the 1200 Review/Reprint screen is not affected by this setting and will always print.
Prompt to Synchronize: Further to the 10 day operation limit placed on the Solid Sales Pro handheld program, you will now be presented with a warning message after the 7th day of continuous operation indicating that the mobile unit must be synchronized. The message will continue and number of days will count down until such time the 10 day limit is exceeded or the mobile unit is synchronized.
Variable Currency Format: A new company configuration option “Currency Symbol” has been added to the [Company / Configuration / Licensing] tab of Solid Mobile Central. This option allows you to select the currency symbol to print by country.
Variable Date Format: A new company configuration option “Date Format” has been added to the [Company / Configuration / Licensing] tab of Solid Mobile Central. This option allows you to select the date format to be used by the Solid Sales Pro program.
Opticon Barcode Scanner Extension: A new Opticon Barcode Scanner extension for Windows Mobile has been added to ensure that scanning is only applicable to specific fields. This change offers more control and efficiencies to the Solid Sales Pro scanning functionality, that the native Opticon scanner driver was not able to provide.
Barcode Scanner Reset: A Barcode Scanner Reset option has been added to the Solid Sales Pro [Properties / Scanning] 4500-Scanning Options screen to handle cases when the barcode scanner becomes incorrectly disabled.
New Optional Licensed Features:
Customer Price Levels (QuickBooks Premier & Enterprise Editions only): Customer Price Levels are now being imported into Solid Route Accounting from QuickBooks Premier & Enterprise versions.
