List 1 Chemicals becoming a Class 1 "Pain"?
Recently, there has been a tremendous amount of activity by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
regarding the storage, transportation and delivery of List 1 chemicals such as Ephedrine and Pseudoephedrine. In a
recent letter issued by one of the DEA's state agencies, it reads, "... any storage at, and distribution from, a
location other than the registered location (including the use of delivery vehicles for overnight storage) is a
violation of federal law." Essentially for many distributors, this restricts the storage location of List 1
chemicals to their main warehouse location. Such as this is, this means that orders must be taken, pre-packaged at
the central warehouse then shipped and delivered to the customer.
Introducing, Si Pre-Sell™ and Si Delivery Confirmation™ options. Si Pre-Sell allows drivers to create an open
order using their handheld PDA device and synchronize this back to the head office accounting system. This order
can then be picked at the main warehouse and shipped directly to the customer.
Alternatively, Si Delivery Confirmation allows administration to re-assign the open order back to a handheld PDA
device for delivery. The field representative simply drops off the pre-packaged product, optionally capture the
customers signature and close the open order as a final invoice.
If you are feeling the "pain" of List 1 chemical legislation, Solid Innovation has the remedy. Call us today to
discuss how Si Pre-Sell and Si Delivery Confirmation can be put to work for you.

CEO's Message
S. Craig Fisher
Managing Businesses for Maximum ROI
and Efficiency!
Often we discuss our products, Solid Business Central™, Solid Route Accounting™ - Enterprise Edition, Solid Route Accounting™ - Integration Edition, and so on. While the
development, maintenance, and support of our products are very important, what is it that we really do?
What we really do is provide the tools to manage your business much more effectively
and efficiently than one can with pencil and paper. Still we take this challenge much further. We
harness technology in a way that is easy for you and your staff to operate.
Because of this we have been privy to some very rewarding experiences in business automation.
In 1988, Battleford Bearing, a bearing supply business in North Battleford, SK., installed an early version
of Solid Business Central™. After 3 weeks of operation, the owners noticed major time savings. Next, after 2 years
they had increased sales by 35%, reduced staff by 33%, and more than doubled their profit margin.
In 2001 Genwest Marketing, a DSD operator in Sheridan, WY., installed Solid Route Accounting™ - Enterprise Edition. Only 4 days later,
they were producing invoices and writing checks. Over the next 4 months they cut management's time commitment in half.
Naturally, they did not stop there.
Indeed, Solid Business Central™, the central office business system is found in a wide variety of business - Garage
Keeping; Parts Management; Direct Store Distribution/Delivery; Wireless Sales; Beverage and Propane Distribution
and others. Through our Remote Delivery initiative, businesses across North America - from Florida to Northern
Canada and from coast to coast run our products.
We owe this success to our clients. For it is they who make suggestions for future growth and development. In
the months to come you will see some major product upgrades answering these requests. These upgrades are part
of our ongoing commitment to ensuring your business runs well on products by Solid Innovation. How can we help
your business run more smoothly?
