Craig's Corner: Ensuring the Future of Route Accounting

A lot is happening around Solid. First, here is our new Insights newsletter to help you stay informed about our company’s direction. Now, let’s get on with the happenings:

Several new partnerships are now taking root with more on the way. First up is Systems Dynamics Corp (www.SDC.ca) of Toronto. SDC provides an admirable, Oracle based ERP system. They required a solid route accounting system to extend their ERP system into DSD operations, warehouse picking and receiving, and materials handling. As a result of this, Solid Route Accounting is now operating in an expanding manufacturer in Toronto, a large milk products distributor in Guyana, and an international sunglass distributor in the US.

Second is Route Accounting Corp., a US based route accounting systems distributor. Route Accounting offers a host of quality route accounting products including our own Solid Route Accounting™ software in a convenient online store format. Currently, the website features our Solid Route Accounting™ - Global Edition™ and Solid Route Accounting™ – QuickBooks® Edition. Their web store is now open at www.RouteAccounting.com.

The rise of these partnerships is continuing to drive new features in our Solid Route Accounting systems. Key features we’ve recently released in our various editions include: Signature Capture with Review/Reprint; Material Handling; Windows Mobile; and several new equipment choices. Yet, there is more development nearing release. This includes: Solid Route Accounting – Enterprise Edition™ vrs 10 (SRA-EE 10) and QuickBooks® Edition vrs 10. While SRA-EE 10 will grow to include many of the above features, it will also include: Customer Route Sheets with Order History and Linked Parts on the mobile computer. Each of these features is commonly sought after and easily solves many of the issues our clients are facing.

With this growth comes a lot of information that needs to be readily accessible. We have recognized the need to keep track of our products, client services, training, and other operations in the office. In this regard, we have opened our new knowledge base “Solid Know How™” found at www.Solid-Innovation.com/KB. Our new knowledge base will be the new resource for all client inquiries, product information, video tutorials and customer feedback. Our goal is to ensure the promise of building on “The Solid Approach to Route Accounting”, which includes a solid partnership with our clients.
