Automatic Purchase Orders
Are you spending hours preparing purchase orders by individually reviewing your inventory quantity values and customer orders? If you had a system that would review your current customer orders along with any outstanding purchase orders and recommend a new purchase order based on minimum quantities and minimum purchase amounts, would this simplify the purchasing process for you?
Si Business Central allows you to do just that. By setting the Minimum Quantity to have on hand as well as the minimum purchase amount, with the touch of a button you can ask the program to automatically recommend a purchase order. Furthermore, you are not restricted by the recommended amounts and you are able to easily add or subtract quantities from the purchase order prior to saving it.
1. Access menu path Buying, then press the <ESC> key to return to the Ordering Services Menu.
2. Press the <F4-Make> function key to access the Inventory Order Creation window. Here you can choose to build your order by Part number, Vendor (or supplier), Department, Shelf location or product Description.
3. Running the Automatic setup procedure will calculate and suggest a recommended purchase order based on minimum quantities and minimum order amounts in addition to giving consideration to open customer orders and open purchase orders.
4. You can Browse these recommended amounts and override any calculated amount that you wish either lowering or increasing the amounts to be ordered.
5. Select the Paper option to generate the electronic purchase order along with a paper copy to forward to your supplier for processing.
