Inventory Auto Pick Report
The Auto Pick report was created for management to analyze their current inventory situation and to make decisions based on sales history, restocking levels and minimum quantity levels. It allows a breakdown by Cost Center, Department and Item. It also allows analysis by Quantities Sold, Dollars Sold, or Gross Margin. Overall the Auto Pick Report can help managers identify where inventory levels are low/high so that decisions can be made to optimize inventory levels and to increase inventory turnover.
Select Solid Business Central™ menu path Datafile/Inventory/Report/Auto Pick to begin.
You can generate the report for one or all of your cost centers. You can select to report based on all items, one item, or request to report on a specific number of top selling items.
Entering the number of days of sales history to consider, coupled with the number of days worth of inventory you require on each mobile unit and the minimum number of days worth of inventory you desire, the report will recommend restocking amounts and perhaps identify which inventory lines could be reduced and applied to other routes that might be moving that specific inventory in large volumes.
This allows management to monitor the inventory stocking amounts for each mobile unit as well as optimize the shelf space on each mobile unit. By examining this data, this streamlines inventory levels across the system, decreases overstocking and increases overall inventory turns. All of which can add significantly to your bottom line and increase your return on investment (ROI).
