Landmark credits Solid Innovation's store profiling data
as essential to company's expansion
Chicago, Ill. -- October 13, 2003 -- Solid
Innovation, a leading provider of mobile route accounting
solutions to the DSD (direct store distribution) wholesale
distribution industry, today announced at the NACS Show 2003
that its largest customer, Landmark
Novelties, has added Speedway SuperAmerica's Illinois
and Wisconsin stores to its growing network of valued clients
using Solid Innovation technologies. The addition of Speedway
SuperAmerica is the latest in a string of new business wins
for Solid Innovation customers.
Greg Gartner, Champion of Continuous Improvement for Landmark
Novelties, credits Solid Innovation's ability to provide visibility
into every aspect of the distribution business as one fundamental
reason that Landmark has grown so rapidly. "We are pleased
that Speedway SuperAmerica has selected Landmark to supply
their specialty merchandise. By employing Solid Innovation
solutions we were able to customize a product mix for Speedway
SuperAmerica that will expand their in-store sales."
Gartner also points out that, "Solid Innovation has helped
us improve our service to our existing accounts. By generating
invoices more accurately and quickly, we have reduced our
accounts receivable from 70 to 17 days, which has had a positive
impact on our bottom line."
Established in 1999, Landmark Novelties is a rapidly growing
distributor of specialty merchandise, with annual sales in
excess of $12 million. Landmark's broad variety of product
offerings and a reliance on Solid Innovation distribution
solutions for customized management information is enabling
the distribution company to outpace their competition. Landmark
is using Solid Innovation's Mobile Sales route solution with
its handheld PDA technology in the field to manage invoicing
and inventory transactions. In addition, Landmark incorporates
management information from Solid Innovation accounting solutions,
enabling the distribution company to acquire new customers
such as Speedway SuperAmerica and better service existing
accounts. Solid Innovation Founder and President, Craig Fisher,
said, "We are delighted that Solid Innovation has enabled
Landmark to expand its customer base to include Speedway SuperAmerica.
We are focused on delivering innovative tools, like Si Mobile
Sales, that decrease accounts receivable times, increase sales
delivery efficiency, and contribute to the bottom line for
distributors." He continued, "Solid Innovation offers
robust technologies that enable distributors to move from
manual to automated processes, speeding route sales calls
by as much as 60 percent and generating a ROI in as little
as three months."
